Accessibility

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If anything is hard to use, please tell me and I’ll put it right.

Contact me on 07526 169645 or hello@hopewellbeing.uk, and tell me which page and what went wrong. I’ll reply within five working days.

What that means in practice

  • Every part of the site can be used with a keyboard alone.
  • Focus is always visible, and you’re never trapped anywhere you can’t get out of.
  • Pages use proper headings and landmarks, so you can navigate by structure with a screen reader.
  • Text contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1 against its background.
  • Form fields have clear labels, and errors are described in words — never by colour alone.
  • There is a “skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
  • Animation is kept minimal and respects your “reduce motion” setting.
  • Text can be resized to 200% and the layout reflows down to 320px without horizontal scrolling.
  • There is no CAPTCHA anywhere on the site — spam is handled invisibly instead.

How it’s been tested

The site is built to WCAG 2.2 AA, and its structure, colour contrast and markup have been checked automatically on every page.

Manual testing with a keyboard alone and with JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver: To be confirmed: [TO CONFIRM: replace this whole paragraph with the testing actually carried out, who did it and when — do not claim a screen-reader pass that has not happened]

Formal conformance statement: To be confirmed: [TO CONFIRM: conformance level and test date, once the manual passes are signed off]

Known issues

To be confirmed: [TO CONFIRM: list any known issues found in testing, or state that none are outstanding]

Tell me if something isn’t working

Accessibility isn’t a box I tick once. If you hit a barrier — on any page, with any device or assistive technology — please get in touch. I’d genuinely rather know.
